【摘要】:History:4.1.1Formanyyears,bricklinershavebeenusedwithanexcellentrecordofperformance.Forthemostpart,however,thedesignandconstructionofbricklinershasbeenbasedonpastindustrypracticeduetothelackofavailableinformationandknowledgeofthephysicalpropertiesofthebrickandmortar,thethermalandseismicbehaviorofbrickliners,andmanyrelatedcharacteristicsthatwerenotproperlyoraccuratelydefined.4.1.2Theuseofscrubbers,whichlowergastemperaturesandintroducehighlycorrosivecondensatesintothefluegassystem,requiresmanynewdesignconsiderations.Theeffectthatscrubbershaveonbricklinersisanongoingareaofstudy,sinceanumberoflinershaveexperiencedgrowth-anddeflection-relatedproblemswhichmaybeattributable,atleastinpart,tononuniformtemperatureandmoistureconditionswithintheliners.Purpose8212;Therecommendationscontainedhereinrepresentcurrentindustrypracticesandservetodefinethepertinentconsiderationsthatshouldbefollowedinthedesignandconstructionofbrickchimneyliners.1.1Thisguidecoversproceduresforthedesign,construction,andserviceabilityofbricklinersforindustrialchimneys.Thestructuraldesigncriteriaareapplicabletoverticalmasonrycantileverstructuressupportedonlyattheirbase,eitherbyafoundation,aconcretepedestal,orbysomemeansfromtheouterconcreteshell.Excludedfromdirectconsiderationaresingle-wythe,sectionalbrickliningsthataresupportedonaseriesofcorbelscastintheouterchimneyshell.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
