【摘要】:1ThispartofISO10990specifiesmethodsforuseinperformancetestingoftrapsusedonlandtorestrainmammals.Theperformancetestingincludesmethodsforevaluationoftrauma,selectivity,captureefficiencyandusersafety.2Itisrecognizedthatinjuryisonlyonecomponentofanimalwelfare.However,thereareinsufficientdatacollectedinascientificmannerontheadditionalcomponentstoallowforthecompleteassessmentofanimalwelfare.SeveralareasofinvestigationarepresentedforevaluationinannexA.Selectionofthedatacollectionmethodologyislefttotheinvestigator.However,itisassumedthatsuchcollectionmethodswillfollowacceptedpractices.Itshouldalsobeunderstoodthatdatacollectedinany,orall,ofthesuggestedareaswillprobablynotprovideanabsolutemeasureofwelfare.Rather,thecompilationofsuchdataovertimeshouldprovideamechanismforcomparingtherelativeanimalwelfareimpactsofdifferentrestraintmethods.
