【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardprovidesguidanceontheselectionofprocedures,andtheinstallation,useandmaintenanceofdevicesforthedeterminationofconcentrationsofchemicalorbiologicalagentsinworkplaceatmospheres.ThisEuropeanStandardisbasedontheguidancegiveninEN689andtherequirementsofEN482.Whereappropriate,thisEuropeanStandardspecifiesadditionalrequirementsspecifictoparticularproceduresordevices,orclassesthereof.Itistheuser'sprimaryresponsibilitytochooseappropriateproceduresordevicesthatmeettherequirementsofrelevantEuropeanStandards.Onewayofdoingthisistoobtaininformationorconfirmationfromthemanufacturer.Typetesting,ormoregenerally,theassessmentofperformancecriteriaofproceduresordevices,canbeundertakenbythemanufacturer,user,testhouseorresearchanddevelopmentlaboratory,asismostappropriate.AlthoughthisStandardspecificallyaddressesworkplaceair,manyoftheproceduresordevicesarealsorelevanttotheassessmentofairqualityinambientorindoorair.Specificguidesexistforelectricalapparatususedforthedirectdetectionanddirectconcentrationmeasurementoftoxicgasesandvapoursinworkplaceatmospheres(EN45544-4)andfordiffusivesamplersforthedeterminationofgasesandvapoursinambientair(prEN13528-3).
